1901 Scottish Census records place the family of Christina and Alexander Noble at 16 High Street, Dunnottar, Kincardineshire, Scotland. In residence where their children Annie (6), Andrew (3) and Margie Jane (1). Alexander was a Maltman by trade.

Additional Information: The ship manifest claims Andrew was traveling with Annie and possibly Thomas, as they were grouped together under one surname. LAC confirms all three as British Home Childre, but Annie and Thomas are listed as 19 years of age.

Attestation papers were signed 8 Nov 1915 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was born 26 Jul 1896 in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, Scotland. Andrew Noble was a Dairyman living at 340 Jameson Avennue Winnipeg, Manitoba. His Next of Kin was his Father, Alex Noble of 150 Wellington Head, Aberdeen, Scotland. He had previous Military experience with the 79th C. II. of C. 5'6" in height with blue eyes and fair hair, he had the initials 'A.E' tattooed on his left forearm. His religion was marked as Presbyterian.

Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that he was Killed in Action in an attack west of Passchendaele, West Flanders, Belgium. He had an incorrect burial place added to his Grave Register. His Next of Kin was Alex Noble of 150 Wellington Road in Aberdeen, Scotland. His body was not recovered and his name is written on the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium.

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial states that he was the son of Christina Adam and Alexander Noble.
